"Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life."

Ina May Gaskin

Hi families!

My name is Danielle Walsh. I've been a Certified Professional Midwife and Licensed Midwife since 2014 when I opened my practice. On average, I attend a couple births a month, occasionally more.

I reside in the Johnson Creek area with my wonderful husband who understands much more about birth than the average guy and our sweet baby boy, who was born at home just this past February. Having our baby at home was the most amazing experience of my life.

Your birth experience will certainly impact the rest of your life forever, and it is my hope that I can assist families in having a positive, joyful and empowering birth experience. I believe that birth is a natural, normally healthy event that womens' bodies were made to do.

Homebirth midwifery is as important for the mother and her family as it is for the baby, as I believe welcoming a baby with love, peace and respect makes an eternal difference in their foundation of their lives. It is my goal to offer safe, compassionate, informed and evidenced-base care to low-risk moms and babies

I've been attracted to birth since as far back as I can remember; raised on a farmette with five siblings, and home-schooled. One of my greatest priveleges was attending the births of four of my nieces and nephews.

When I learned about what a midwife is and does, I immediately knew it was my calling, and the doors opened for me to attend Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, WI. I apprenticed several different midwives and doctors in Wisconsin and Florida.

Post partum care is comprehensive (4-6 visits typically) as we focus on adjusting to having a new baby in the family, healing, support and breastfeeding for the first six weeks of your little one's life.

I am a current member of the Wisconsin Guild of Midwives, is also trained as a doula and in Birth Emergency Skills (B.E.S.T.), and is current in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and CPR for Healthcare Providers.

If you'd like to see if we are a good match, please send me an email and we can meet up sometime!

So God dwealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied, and grew very strong.
